You can uncompress files from DirectAdmin file manager. To do that,

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin control panel
  2. Go to File Manager from the System Info & Files section
  3. Navigate to public_html or other specific location that you want to upload file to.
  4. Use the “Upload File” button from the left sidebar to upload the file.
  5. Once you have uploaded your compressed files (zip, tar.gz, etc) then hover your mouse over to that file. You will see a pop-up menu showing various actions.
  6. From that list, click on the “Extract” button and select the location. Your files will be extracted on that folder.
