Addon Domain: If your hosting package allows using more than one domain on the package, then you can use Addon domain. Addon domain is a fully functional domain that you can add to your hosting account. It works on your hosting side by side with the main domain. For example, if you bought “example.com” domain and hosting, and want to add “anotherdomain.com” to the same hosting account, then it would be added as an addon domain.
Sub Domain: The domain address that you create from an existing domain is called subdomain. For example, if you have “example.com” as your domain, then subdomain for those accounts would be “www.example.com”, “blog.example.com”, “news.example.com” and so on. You can create as many subdomains from your domain that you want and can also point them to other servers if necessary, using DNS Records.
